Pre-Assignment

Pre Assignment services can relate to any activities prior to the assignment being offered or confirmed to the employee and can range from employee screening (assignment suitability), estimates of costs, feasibility studies or pre visit (look see) trips for the employee and family.

Most companies offer look see trips to enable the employee and, where applicable the family, to visit the potential host location. These are normally integrated with business related activities which give the employee to visit the new work location, meet with management and get a “sense” of their new working environment. Along side the business activities Heart Relocation can provide area orientations, showing possible living locations, some sample property viewings and visits to local facilities including an overview of things like hospital/medical facilities, sporting and leisure activities and, where appropriate, school visits.

There are so many factors that can go into determining whether or not an employee will be successful, many of which are not within our control. However we can help companies determine whether or not the employee are culturally adaptable and whether or not the family is likely to thrive or not on assignment. There are a number of programmes that can be used from: Professional transition coaching which works with the employee  and family to assess employment feasibility, perceived obstacles, children’s education needs, culture and more. More targeted candidate selection and assessment programmes can also be provided where potential candidates can be assessed across a number of criteria to determine their suitability for the role.

Yes Heart Relocation, can provide a fully inclusive service including booking flights and accommodation and creating an agenda for the entire trip. Our aim is to maximise the employees time in the new location and ensure that they have all the information and insight they need to determine whether or not the assignment is right for them.

Yes, we have a “What If” costs estimate function that allows you to run various scenarios and policy elements before any selection of an employee to relocate. These attract a separate cost which will be refunded if you then decide to use that cost estimate for an assignment.
