Anna Fletcher – Co-Founder & Heartbeat of Heart Relocation

This month, we shine the spotlight on Anna Fletcher, Co-Founder of Heart Relocation, and the driving force behind its mission to transform the relocation experience for clients and their employees.

Anna’s journey in Global Mobility began in her native Poland, where she helped build a successful destination services company that expanded across Eastern Europe. From the very beginning, Anna was laser-focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences—an ethos that continues to shape Heart Relocation today.

In 2006, Anna moved to the UK, where she spent the next 13 years deepening her expertise in full assignment management solutions. Her career took her across the globe, supporting clients in complex and evolving markets. One of her most formative experiences came through her work with Volvo Cars, where she played a key role in their expansion into China, frequently traveling to Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, and other second- and third-tier cities.

“Working with Volvo was an incredible experience,” Anna shares. “It taught me so much about the challenges of relocation—not just at a corporate level, but also from the perspective of the individual employee. The package of care, and how companies and service providers approach relocation, can truly determine its success. It’s not just about logistics—it’s about people.”

In 2019, feeling disillusioned by the industry’s direction and its lack of focus on the employee experience, Anna co-founded Heart Relocation.

“It was simple for me,” Anna explains. “Companies had lost their way. They’d forgotten that at the centre of every relocation is a human being whose needs were being overlooked or ignored. Many providers treated employees with little regard, asking more and more of them without support or reward. With my co-founder, we had a clear equation: take care of your employees, create an environment for them to succeed, and the clients—and their talented people—will thrive. We coined the phrase ‘land happy’, and that’s still our mission and vision.”

Six years on, Heart Relocation has grown from strength to strength. It’s now a Certified Great Place to Work, and boasts a Net Promoter Score of 92—a world-class testament to the outstanding service the team delivers.

Anna is not only visionary and influential—she’s also deeply respected by her team and clients alike. One colleague, Miriam, who has been with Heart Relocation from the early days, described her beautifully:

“Working with Anna is like working with a combination of Wikipedia (she knows everything) and your Outlook Calendar (she remembers everything and will send you reminders when needed).

I have never worked with anyone (Anna-one) who has been more accurate, compliant, and detailed. The way she works with colleagues, clients, and assignees amazes me. She is firm but friendly, and I can’t remember her making any mistake. She works according to clear processes but keeps the wellbeing and emotional journey of each stakeholder close to her Heart. The perfect combination.”

Clients echo this admiration

“To be honest, I’ve never met anyone in my professional life with the same passion for the client and customer as Anna. Combined with her long career in the industry, it’s the perfect mix for creating the best relocation experience for all parties involved. My career has taken me elsewhere, but if the opportunity came to work with Anna again, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second. Working with Anna is a great pleasure at all times.”

Another client adds

“Anna at all moments puts our people on the number one spot and will support their move from start to finish and keep the Global Mobility function in house updated about the move from start to finish. She feels comfortable with the various policies that are in place and will challenge if she sees that certain things might not go via policy. It is always a pleasure to work with Anna. She knows the relocation business through and through and keeps me on my toes by asking critical questions. She tries in all ways to help lighten the load for those she works alongside her and her clients. She is a true Global Mobility professional.”

Outside of work, Anna is devoted to her children Lily (who has just started at Plymouth University) and Antony, as well as Kallie the dog and Sherlock the cat. She loves to travel and, while she now calls England home, she admits she just wishes it were a bit warmer!
